What is MAT (Management Aptitude Test)?

MAT (Management Aptitude Test) is a competitive management entrance exam conducted in India by All India Management Association (AIMA). Over 600 B-Schools in India accepts this exam score for their admissions to various Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) or equivalent Master of Business Administration (MBA). MAT is a test administered since 1988 and Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved as a national level test in 2003.

MAT is conducted four times in a year: February, May, September and December.


Important Dates for MAT (Management Aptitude Test)

Notification for Exam: One month before the exam (January, April, August and November)

Last Date for Application: About 15 days before the exam (January, April, August and November)

Exam Date: in February, May, September and December

The Computer Based Test is conducted from Saturdays (6 days after the Paper Based Test Date) and in different slots.


Eligibility for MAT

The eligibility for writing MAT exam is a graduation in any disciple from any recognized university or equivalent.

A final year student in any undergraduate can also apply.

No age limit for the exam.


How to Apply?

Candidate can apply for MAT exam by logging on to the official website https://www.aima.in . Fees can be paid through the mentioned methods in the website. Mostly three methods are available includes online payment, demand draft and cash.

Candidate has to select 5 participating institutes to which the exam score to be send. They can select more than 5 institute by paying extra payment for that.


Admit Card

Successfully registered candidate can download their admit card from official website using registered email ID and Date of Birth.

No separate Admit Card will be issued or dispatched.


MAT (Management Aptitude Test) Result

MAT results are available in the official website after it has been officially announced. Candidate can check the score by using their roll number, form number and month of exam.


Exam Pattern

The exam is offered both in paper based and computer based methods. The candidate can chose any one or both as their option for exam. Fees for MAT (Management Aptitude Test)

Exam fees for MAT as follows. This fees is as per the notification of MAT February 2019.

For Paper Based Test(PBT)1550/-
For Computer Based Test (CBT)1550/-
For Both PBT & CBT2650/-

Fees can be pay through Credit Card/Debit Card (ATM Card) or Net Banking .

Test Centre City

Test Centre City list is provided below for general information (please see bulletin for each exam for correct test centre city). Test Venues for Paper-Based Test (PBT) and Computer Based Test (CBT) are different.

If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test is limited and can be accommodated in a single day; the test will be completed in one day.
