What is CMAT (Common Management Admission Test)?

CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) is a management admission test conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). This exam conducted once in every year as per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. CMAT exam score is accepted by all AICTE Approved Institutions / University Departments / Constituent Colleges / Affiliated Colleges.

CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) is three hour computer based test conducted in the month of January.

Important Dates for CMAT

Exam Notification: in the month of October

Online Application: begins in October

Last date of Application: In December

Downloading Admit Card: 15 – 20 days before exam date

Exam Date: in January

Eligibility for CMAT

Candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Any graduate from a recognized university are eligible for attending CMAT.

Final year graduate students are also eligible for CMAT.

There is no age limit for attending CMAT.

How to Apply?

For applying to CMAT exam, the candidate has to register on the official CMAT website http://www.aicte-cmat.in . The login id can be used for further process and logins.

Admit Card

Successfully registered candidate can download their admit card from the official website. The admit card will be available as per the schedule of the examination.

CMAT Result

Result of CMAT is available in the official website after it is officially declared. Candidate can download their CMAT score from the official website.

Exam Pattern

CMAT is a fully computer based online test. The questions are coming from four sections namely Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness. There will be 100 multiple choice questions in the exams with 25 questions from each section. The duration of exam is 3 hours.

In a ‘Computer Based Test’ the candidate sits in front of a computer and the questions are presented on the computer monitor and the candidate submits the answers through the use of keyboard or mouse. Each computer is connected to a server, which prepares the question set and delivers it to the candidate on the computer. MAT is offered over a period of time and the candidate can choose the centre, the day and time of his/her convenience to take the test. Computer based test assumes that the candidate has basic familiarity with use of computers like use of keyboard and mouse operation.

Fees for CMAT

Fees for CMAT 2018 is Rs. 1400 + bank charges for general or OBC candidates and Rs. 700 + bank charges for Female /SC/ST/PWD category candidates.

Fees can be paid through online (Credit / Debit cards / Net banking) or through Bank Challan at SBI bank.
