What is NEET – UG?
NEET – UG (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test – UG) is an all India entrance exam for admissions to MBBS / BDS courses in India. The ranks from this exam is used to get admission in Medical / Dental Colleges approved by the Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament.
From 2019 onwards National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct NEET – UG (Earlier it was conducted by CBSE). The exam will conduct once a year in April or May. The notification of the exams are coming in previous October or November. The exams will conduct in offline mode (NEET – UG 2019).

NEET – UG Eligibility
The following are the eligibility criteria to attend NEET – UG 2019 exam. Please check the eligibility criteria and make sure that you eligible for the exam.
Age Limit
He/she has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.
The upper age limit for NEET (UG) is 25 years as on the date of examination with relaxation of 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category and persons entitled for reservation under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
Nationality
Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons with Indian Origin (PIO) and Foreign Nationals are eligible for admission in Medical/Dental Colleges subject to rules and regulations framed by the respective State Governments, Institutions and the Government of India as the case may be.
Qualification Exam
The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education.
A candidate who is appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks at the time of first round of Counselling.
Candidates who have passed 10+2 from Open School or as private candidates shall not be eligible to appear for ‘National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test’. Furthermore, study of Biology/Biotechnology as an Additional Subject at 10+2 level also shall not be permissible.
Subjects in Qualifying Exam and Pass Percentage Required
The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates and 45% for PwD candidates) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying examination.
How to Apply for NEET – UG?
Students can avail the NEET Application form via online mode from official website. Application can only be submit by online mode only.
Visit official website page of NEET. Fill and upload all necessary details, make the fee payment using online and offline mode. Take printout of the confirmation page of the application form and keep it safe for further use.
Fees for NEET 2020 – UG
Following are the fees for NEET 2020 – UG
General: Rs. 1500
General-EWS / OBC-NCL : Rs. 1400
SC/ST/PwD/Transgender: Rs. 800
Service/Processing charges & GST are to be paid by the candidate, as applicable.
Fees can be paid through Credit/Debit Card/Net-Banking and through e-challan.
